If Miley, Liam and Justin were to start an Insanely Young Relationship Commitment Club, Selena’s one person they shouldn’t count on to pay membership dues any time soon.
Selena Gomez has recently revealed in various interviews that she is in no hurry to settle down. She’s enjoying the young, single life, which at the age of 20 you could hardly fault her for– strange that it’s made to seem weird by all her fresh faced contemporaries rushing to the altar!
Gomez dished to Teen Vogue recently about how much she’s digging her youth.
“It’s really fun. I’m lucky,” Gomez told Vogue. “I’m 20. I don’t take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically.”
The news doesn’t get any better for the monogamy minded Bieber beyond that, either– not only does Selena have no desire to marry any time soon, she doesn’t even want to move in with the “Baby” singer anymore. In fact, Gomez still lives at home behind mom and dad!
“I have a small condo on top of my parents’ house. I’m a little behind!,” the Wizards of Waverly Place actress revealed. “Marriage and all that other stuff I think will happen once I feel accomplished in every other aspect of my life.”
Gomez is quite the busy bee with acting roles on the way, as it is. With a staggering SEVEN upcoming films beginning with a leading role in animated film Hotel Transylvania, it could certainly be theorized the star’s plate is a little too full to make “settling down” a plan of action.
Following “Transylvania,” she’ll appear in the Harmony Korine film Spring Breakers alongside James Franco. Then, it’s onto the film adaptation of young-adult fiction novel 13 Reasons Why. Also on the slate is a cameo in Aftershock, and upcoming thriller from Hostel director Eli Eoth and a film called The Getaway with Ethan Hawke and Jon Voight.
As a singer, a career path Gomez is putting on hold for film work, she has also contributed to the soundtracks of Tinker Bell, Another Cinderella Story, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Shake It Up after signing a record deal with Hollywood Records.
