Nothing.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few days, you have heard the rumors of Beyonce lip-syncing the National Anthem at the Presidential Inauguration on Monday. And the latest news is that she is being compared to Lance Armstrong.  Seriously?  Singers lip-sync often for various reasons.

Sometimes they have not had a chance to do a proper run through to practice the song in that setting, with that production team etc.  Sometimes they have a crazy choreography going on during the song and in order for the show to be perfect they have to sing over their own song.  In any case, comparing Beyonce, one of the most amazing musicians in our history who has worked her bootie off since she was a little girl to be where she is now, to Lance Armstrong, is pretty ridiculous.  Lance admitted to taking drugs to enhance his performance, Beyonce is not taking drugs, nor is she cheating.  This was an incredibly important event in our history, we cant blame her for being extra cautious.  It is just ridiculous that we can come down so hard on a performer who has dedicated her life to entertaining us because of one situation.  Let’s not forget that she just recently joined the celerbrity moms club so maybe we should give her a break.

With that said, we are not saying that it’s ok to lip-sync by any means.  There is nothing more gratifying than watching a talented performer sing her heart out because we feel that amazing energy.  However, lets not throw stones when we don’t know the full details.  Just saying.
