JERICHO ROSALES is a household name through the Filipino primetime drama series Pangako Sa Yo and Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas.  His acting prowess, however, amazed more than just the Filipino audience, as Pangako Sa Yo also had successful runs in Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Singapore, and several African nations, in which garnered Jericho thousands of fans worldwide and establishing him as an international celebrity.

Jericho was discovered by a talent scout to join Eat Bulaga’s Mr. Pogi (33year old lunchtime daily TV show) and he landed the role soon after he auditioned.

Jericho wanted to be a musician/singer, but they wanted him to dance! Then when ABS CBN got me in for their Star Circle in-house talents, they wanted me to act. So he stayed with them for 10years and then joined Manila Genesis and they helped him launch his Music career.

He shared with us some of the difficulties he faced trying to juggle acting and singing “Taping soap operas requires late nights which affect my vocal chords. Also the disciplines are different. Being a singer/musician requires more focused scheduling. A concert is from 8-10pm. Rehearsals in the afternoon for 2 hrs. You can’t be late.”

Jericho just released a new album entitled Korona or Crown. He wrote 6 songs for the album, but he tells us he is also working on a new all English album and  he would love to have Gary Valenciano, a top music producer of the Philippines produce some music for him.  As for “Coming to America”, he would love to cross-over to the American market, “it is any artist’s dream”. He has his soap operas sub-titled into the Malaysian, Chinese, Cambodian and African languages so he has built quite a fan base in those countries. In 2013 he is planning to develop and produce more films (note: Jericho’s 1st co-produced film is “Breakaway” which was recently featured at the 2013 Palm Springs International Film Festival).

After speaking with Jericho about his entertainment lifestyle we asked him a few personal questions to get to know the real Jericho Rosales. He reveals to us that he is just like everyone else. He loves taking photographs, surfing; watching movies, such as HANCOCK and the Pursuit of Happiness (his favorites) and just like everyone else, he has a CRUSH on Rachel McAdams. He couldn’t have topped the interview off better, when we asked him what was the oddest thing he has ever done, “I would go incognito on a public bus using a cap, glasses, a hoody and my surfboard and go to the beach with my best friend and it would drive my manager crazy!” I think he will fit right in here in LA.
